LANDSCAPES OF EMERGENCY:
war’s impact on the environment and architecture in Ukraine

On the Consequences of War for the Environment and Infrastructure in Ukraine

How is the environment affected during an ongoing war? What effects does warfare have on infrastructure, buildings, and agriculture?

Through documentation, maps, and photographs, the exhibition Landscapes in Crisis provides an insight into the ongoing war in Ukraine. The exhibition was created by Ukrainian architect Elena Orap. Its content is based on research from the project “Ukraine: Architecture of Emergency” at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne.
